This is an authentic antique map of the Teton Range and the surrounding area in northwestern Wyoming. The map is by T.S. Brandegee and dated 1898 which is one year after the establishment of the Teton Forest Preserve.
This topographic map of the Teton Range and Forest Preserve uses four different colors to differentiate various land classifications. Agricultural land coniferous timber quaking aspen and burned areas are color coded throughout. Rivers lakes and streams are mapped and noted along with various landmarks such as the Gros Venture Buttes Sulphur Springs Mt Leidy and of course Grand Teton.
