This is an authentic antique map showing the geologic makeup of the Denver Basin produced by the United States Geological Survey.
This map is absolutely loaded with geologic detail coded using different colors and patterns. A legend to the right distinguished the various formations compositions and geologic time periods of their origin. The maps centers on the city of Denver and includes Boulder (top left) Golden (left center) and Littleton (bottom center). The surveys used to produce this map were conducted in the years 1884 to 1888.
Condition: Map is in C+ condition originally folded now flattened with original color. The map has been reinforced with an archival tissue paper on the verso and has a few areas of paper loss along the old folds.
