This is a scarce county map of the Southern California extending from just north of Conception Point to the present day location of San Diego Bay with a focus on Los Angeles. It shows many of the earliest towns of Santa Monica, Anaheim, San Bernadino, and Lancaster connected by railway and stage coach roads. Orange County has not yet been established.

Other details such a topographic, locations of native american tribes, natural rivers, mines, volcanoes, and offshore oil springs are noted throughout. An overall attractive map of one of America's most populous regions during a much simpler time.

Condition: This lithograph atlas map is in A condition with no major tears and full margins on all sides. Color is original and still very vibrant.
