This is an authentic antique map of Colorado by Frank Gray. The map was published out of Philadelphia in 1873.
This fine map shows the status of settlement and development in the state with survey lines running through all counties along the Eastern Rockies and Front Range. It details railroads, cities, towns and mining communities, watershed, forts, and more. Extensive topographical detail is given with room for improvement. In the western region a geographical description states “Elevated plain, fertile, gently rolling with Fresh water Lakes, and timber.” This early edition names only 20 counties with the majority of the western portion mostly unsettled.
Condition: Map is in A condition, with exceptional color on clean paper.
