An old color example of Homann's map of Ukraine and the land of the Cossacks. It extends from Moscow and Tartariae in the North to the Black Sea, Constantinople, Romania, Bulgaria, and Transylvania in the South and West. An elaborate decorative title cartouche depicts a group of Cossacks regaling one another with stories of their valorous deeds while a Polish/Lithuanian soldier looks on.
Condition: This map is in B condition with original color, a stain in the lower left corner and a few vertical creases, one of which has separated just right of center.
