This is an attractive early 17th century map showing the region of Russia from Estonia to Moscow. Topographical features are displayed along with major cities towns rivers lakes forests mountains and islands. Wildlife is depicted throughout the map along with a scene of natives hunting bears in the upper right quadrant of the map. A coat of arms distance scale and decorative title cartouche adorned with male and female moose further enhance the map. Latin text on verso.
Condition: Map is in A+ condition with nice origin coloring.
