1970 Farewell to the Chief - Vietnam Banner

An authentic Vietnam era banner that was painted by soldiers of the 9th Infantry to bid "FAREWELL TO THE CHIEF," Major General Ira Hunt who served as Chief of Staff for the 9th infantry and the commanding officer of its 1st Brigade. General Hunt would later serve as the lead investigating officer for the U.S. vs. Colonel Oran Henderson court-martial, concerning the My Lai Massacre and alleged cover-up.
Condition: This banner is in B+ condition, hand painted on two sheets of Army linen that have been stapled together. A few frayed edges exist but do not threaten the integrity of the banner.
