A remarkable travel brochure produced for people travelling to and from San Francisco for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition of 1915, to consider including a stop along their journey to enjoy the many sites and attractions of Chicago.
This piece features a double-cover image of a painting showing fairgoers of the 1893 Columbian Exposition. Inside we are provided with dozens of images of the many sites, attractions, and recreational opportunities in and around Chicago. In the center of this brochure is an exceptional fold out, quadruple page, bird's eye view of Chicago looking southwest upon the central financial district (a.k.a. the Loop) with the Chicago river to the north and the Field Museum to the south.
Condition: This antique travel brochure is in A condition with bumped corners and some light wear along the spine. All pages are securely attached and clean without any tears or writing within.
