This large color single page advertisement shows an image of a tobacco farmer inspecting the quality of a tobacco leaf, for “Lucky Strike/Means Fine Tobacco” brand cigarettes. Including an image of the Lucky Strike packaging in the lower right, with their catchphrase “It’s Toasted” printed on the box. This is in reference to the companies technique for toasting tobacco leaves as opposed to sun-drying them, allegedly enhancing flavor. We also see a small inset in the upper left labeled “Defend the Constitution”, with a small illustrated reminder to purchase war bonds and stamps.
