A fine color lithograph portrait of Col. Michael Corcoran, commanding the 69th Irish Regiment. Corcoran was an Irish-American general in the Union Army during the Civil War, and a close confidant of President Abraham Lincoln. He was one of the first to serve in the defense of Washington by building Fort Corcoran and led the 69th into action at the first Battle of Bull Run.
Condition: This print is in A condition with lovely original color and some light damp-staining along the left margin
