This scarce early map of the states of Alabama and Georgia is one of the first maps of the area to be published abroad. The map is highly detailed and includes an inset of the city of Savannah, Georgia. Information presented includes county boundaries of the states along with their settlements, towns, forts, and roads. Indian villages and a large region described as Cherokee Indian territory are denoted. Rivers, lakes, swamps and mountains are delineated.
Condition: This hand colored map is in A condition with clean paper and ample margins on all sides.
