This is an original lithograph print from the picture taken by John S. Davis, "Emigrants Attacked By Indians ". The print was published by "The Graphic", a British weekly illustrated newspaper. The scene depicts a terrified group of emigrants near and in their wagons, being attacked by Indians seen in the background. Two of the stunned emigrants gaze out toward the viewer during this horrific scene, as if asking for help.
