This antique print was from a collection of cartoons by Gibson published in 1906. 

Under each coat of arms is the sum desired by impoverished nobles - from a relatively modest 19,934 pounds and 10 schillings from the lord on the right to a large fortune in francs from the aristocrat on the left.  

Charles Dana Gibson was an American illustrator.  He was best known for his creation of the Gibson Girl, an iconic representation of the beautiful and independent American woman at the turn of the 20th century.
