This elegant Bellin map features the peninsula of Kamchatka, the easternmost region of the Russian Federation, along with a few of the northernmost of the Kuril Islands.

The rugged topography of the peninsula is beautifully illustrated, with its mountains and volcanoes, its lakes in the calderas of dormant volcanoes all painstakingly detailed. The map   provides much information regarding the peninsula, with towns, villages and small settlements depicted.  Its countless river systems are delineated and a number of capes are named along the east coast.

Masterful hand colouring enhances the visual impact of the map, and renders it easier to read. The title cartouche in the lower right incudes a distance legend.

Condition: Map is in B condition with some crinkling along the top and bottom margins and two tears that extend into the left side of the map that have been professionally repaired on the verso. Overall appearance is quite nice.
