This is a wonderful example of an antique Albert-type print of the grand Chicago Columbian Exposition, 1893. This view captivates the magnitude of this event, which was held to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus' arrival in the New World in 1492. The large water pool represents his voyage. The spectacular buildings, gardens, waterways, and even a hot-air balloon in the sky, add to the excitement of this moment in time.
