This is an authentic map of Africa by Homann. It provides a vast view of the African continent as well as present-day Saudi Arabia.
The map shows two lakes as the source of the Nile River. It is colored by region and identifies topographical features and settlements. The elaborate title cartouche depicts natives with cherubs overhead and traders, monkeys and pyramids in the background.
Condition: Map is in A- condition with lovely hand coloring. There is slight browning and minor tears on the boarders that do not enter the image.
