A large single page, wood engraved print from the London Illustrated News, featuring a scene upon the manmade recreational lake in the Hyde Park neighborhood. This 40-acre lake was a common area for families to gather and enjoy a multitude of activities. In this print, we see a coded shore scene with fireworks exploding in the sky above the lake.
