1935 New Mexico
DESCRIPTION
New Mexico is our 4th largest state and home to the ancient tribal Pueblo Indians. In the northwest corner is an extensive reservation set aside for the Navajo Indians. Another one is for the Apaches, the last Indian people to be conquered by U.S. troops. This state is a colorful land of wilderness of sands and rocky mesas. The national Park of the Carlsbad Caverns, with underground chambers filled with bats and natural decorations is depicted. Many precious stones are found here, especially turquoises.
