This attractive historical map of Quebec depicts the city as it was when the French surrendered at the end of the French and Indian War. The map is based on an earlier work by Bellin which was published in 1744. The later version was the definitive view for some time.

The list to the right of the map names 24 buildings, batteries and forts, and identifies prominent and well-known landmarks such as Fort S Louis, The Hotel Dieu, and St. Roch, to name a few. The map shows the high village and the ancient entrenchments in detail. The decorative compass rose with fleur-de-lys orients the map This terrific plan is oriented west as indicated by a decorative compass rose, with a fleur-de-lis used as the marker for north.

Condition: This map is in A condition with some faint damp staining at some folds. Issued folded
