A full page, full color advertisement showing the brand new state of the art “Hydra-Matic Drive”, a major jump on the automobile industry, known today simply as automatic drive.

A large image of a bright yellow “Custom 8 Cruiser” is the focal point of the print, with the lower portion describing the new feature. A basic flow chart shows the elimination of both shifting and usage of the clutch pedal while driving, and an image of the lack of clutch pedal can be seen in the lower right corner. The new hydraulic operation of the gearbox shifted the car into its four forward operating gears without assistance from the actual driver. The upgrade, at the time of construction was $57.00 from the standard model Oldsmobile.

Condition: This single page advertisement is in A condition, with no visible toning, color fading or tears.
